Edukree ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of schools, teachers, students and parents who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding that data.

By using Edukree's platform or website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.

Data we collect

We collect data necessary to deliver and improve our services. This includes:

School information: School name, address, board affiliation, academic structure and curriculum data provided during onboarding.
Account data: Names, email addresses, phone numbers and roles (admin, teacher, student, parent) of platform users.
Academic data: Attendance records, syllabus progress, classwork, homework, assessment marks and report cards created or managed within the platform.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration and device/browser information — collected to improve platform performance.
Communications: Messages sent through the in-platform communication feature between teachers and parents.

How we use it

We use collected data solely to provide and improve the Edukree platform. Specifically:

To operate and deliver core platform features (attendance, syllabus tracking, reporting, communication)
To generate academic reports and dashboards for school leadership
To provide customer support and onboarding assistance
To send essential service notifications (not marketing, unless you opt in)
To diagnose technical issues and improve platform reliability

We do not use student data for advertising, profiling or any purpose beyond educational service delivery.

We do not sell, rent or trade your data to any third party. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: Trusted infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, database services) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
Legal obligations: Where required by applicable Indian law or a valid court order.
School consent: Any data sharing beyond the above requires explicit written consent from the school's authorised administrator.

Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

While we take security seriously, no system is completely immune. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to users, we will notify affected parties promptly in accordance with applicable law.

Data retention

We retain platform data for the duration of the school's active subscription plus a grace period of 90 days after contract termination, during which schools may export their data. After this period, data is securely deleted unless legal obligations require otherwise.

Your rights

School administrators, teachers and parents have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about them
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of their data (subject to legal retention requirements)
Export their school's data in a portable format
Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies — strictly necessary ones for session management and basic analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not function correctly as a result.

Children's data

Edukree is a B2B platform deployed by schools. Student data (including data of minors) is processed on behalf of the school, which acts as the data controller and is responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents or guardians in accordance with applicable law. We process student data only as instructed by the school.
